The mission of Versus Salon is to provide the ultimate salon experience. We assist you in creating hair designs that fit you and your lifestyle. We specialize in maintaining the health and integrity of your hair using innovative and creative techniques, while working with hair of all types and textures.
At Versus Salon, our team is dedicated to creating beauty both for your everyday lifestyle and your special occasions. Each client is asked to complete a consultation card about their current lifestyle and haircare routine to determine a style and maintenance plan that suits their needs. In the end, our clients receive services and recommendations that are tailored to their personal needs, unique natural hair patterns, and their individual way of life.
Versus has been serving the Hampton Roads community since 2001 and has been Virginia Beach’s first curl-focused salon since 2012.

Michelle
Salon Manager, Curl Specialist, Stylist
Since 2001, Michelle has brought her passion for hair to life, specializing in curls, color, and cuts for all lengths. She loves teaching clients how to embrace and care for their unique texture. A graduate of Norfolk State University with a degree in Social Work, Michelle values connection and care in both her profession and personal life. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her children and family.

Alé
Curl Specialist
Alé has been a licensed stylist since 2017, with a passion for curly hair, highlights, and color transformations. She thrives on the challenge of corrective color, always aiming to deliver beautiful results. Above all, Alé is committed to maintaining and promoting healthy hair for every client.

Niecy
Stylist
A graduate of a Paul Mitchell Partner School (RK), Niecy specializes in natural styles, color, curls, and cuts. She is passionate about helping clients of all ages and hair types look and feel their best, creating personalized self-care routines to enhance their unique beauty.
Bria
Stylist
Bria is a licensed cosmetologist and a graduate of Empire Beauty School. She specializes in natural hair, silk presses, creative color, and custom cuts. Known for her attention to detail and vibrant styling, Bria brings both creativity and care to every appointment. In her free time, she enjoys reading and rollerblading—always finding new ways to stay inspired.
Madison
Apprentice
Madison is pursuing her cosmetology license through the Versus Salon Apprenticeship Program. She specializes in alternative cuts and creative colors, using hair as a medium for self-expression. Her goal is to create a space where clients feel free to be themselves.
Chloe
Stylist
Chloe began her cosmetology journey in 2022 and quickly discovered her passion for the beauty industry. She especially enjoys working with color and loves helping clients express themselves through their hair. Chloe is continuing to grow her skills in curly hair and is excited to expand her knowledge. She values building genuine connections with her clients and strives to make every appointment a fun and welcoming experience.
